Rich began his financial career with another investment management firm, and joined Merrill Lynch in 2008, becoming resident director of the firm’s Windermere, Florida, office. His duties with Windermere Private Wealth Management include helping clients evaluate and implement strategies that can make use of hedge funds, private equity, managed futures and middle-market investment banking services through Bank of America. In his work with small business owners and corporate executives, Rich focuses on strategies for managing stock options and hedging strategies for concentrated stock positions and illiquid assets. He also has extensive experience providing collaborative, institutional-quality asset management for endowments, foundations and wealthy families.

Rich is a qualified portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a portfolio manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst^® (CIMA^®), awarded by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA^®) and is a member of IMCA^®.

Rich graduated from the University of Florida with bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics. He serves on the board of trustees of the Alpha Omega chapter, Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is a member of the Keene’s Pointe Country Club, in Windermere, where he and his wife, Lisa, live with their three children, Emma, J.R. and Jack. On his own time, Rich pursues an active lifestyle. He is a member of the Isleworth Golf and Country Club, and has completed the Ironman Triathlon twice. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, golf and tennis.
