Robert Matluck has three decades of financial services experience. Bob began his career in 1983 at a major investment bank in New York City. He assumed progressive operational and leadership roles at the firm, ultimately serving as president and co-chief executive officer. Bob played a key role in executing the sale of the firm to a large international investment bank in 2007. He then joined a large wealth management firm in 2009 before joining the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch in 2013.

Bob’s background has provided him with extensive insight into the opportunities and challenges of private business owners and entrepreneurs. He combines his hands-on knowledge of business management with in-depth understanding of alternative investments, asset allocation, equity opportunities and portfolio design. Bob offers clients a nuanced understanding of the investment process, bolstered by practical exposure to underlying business environments.

Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Washington University. He is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis.

Bob lives in Chappaqua, New York, with his wife and three children. He belongs to The Whippoorwill Country Club in Armonk, New York.
