The Erdmann Group is a distinguished wealth management team headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut. We have significant experience advising CEOs, Presidents and Founders of public and private companies, and families life’s transition points, helping them manage all aspects of their finances.

We are a 25-member team, serving approximately 150 households that have entrusted us with over $7.5 billion in client balances, as of January 2017. The Private Banking and Investment Group provides tailored solutions to help meet the distinct needs of individuals and families with substantial wealth. Clients are served with a boutique-like approach by teams of rigorously trained and experienced advisors who are skilled in working with wealthy clients, their families and businesses. Clients can enjoy a caliber of resources and futurefocused strategies that is typically reserved for the world’s largest enterprises.

The PBIG Accreditation Program identifies financial advisors who demonstrate the technical proficiency necessary to deliver exceptional service exclusively to ultra-high-net-worth individuals. The program assesses a team’s business model and skill in the strategies and solutions that best address the needs of those clients. Advisors must pass an oral assessment process to become private wealth advisors.

Over three decades, Jeff has built a team that emphasizes intellectual rigor, in-depth customization, and committed service. He and his team work closely with ultra-affluent individuals and families, helping them streamline the complexities and capitalize on the opportunities of substantial wealth. He has significant experience advising senior executives, company founders, entrepreneurs, and multi-generational families.

Jeff began his Merrill Lynch career in 1984. As the leader of the Erdmann Group, he directs client initiatives across multiple areas: investment management; stock option analysis; retirement planning services; hedging and monetization of concentrated equity positions; life insurance analysis and funding; and wealth preservation and transfer services.

Jeff has garnered national recognition as a leading Financial Advisor. He was named #1 on Forbes’ “America's Top Wealth Advisors” list in 2016. Barron’s has recognized him as one of "America's Top 100 Financial Advisors" from 2004 – 2017 and the top advisor at Merrill Lynch from 2009 – 2017. Jeff earned his Economics and Business degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is a past Trustee of the New Canaan Country School and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk, and the Advisory Council for the Fairfield County Community Foundation.

Rob Giannetti is a managing partner of the Erdmann Group within the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch. Rob has garnered national recognition as a leading financial advisor. In 2017, Barron’s named him one of the “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors in America” and the #13 Advisor in Connecticut.

Rob joined the Erdmann Group as a partner in 2001. Previously, he spent over six years at the Bank of New York on Wall Street, where he was a Portfolio Manager reporting to the Chief Investment Officer. He is a long-term investor and a student of Warren Buffett’s and Peter Lynch’s methodology and thought leadership.

Within the team, Rob directs asset allocation, sector diversification, and security and fund selection. He takes a highly customized approach to addressing the investment needs of ultra-affluent clients, sensitive to their risk parameters, personal timelines, lifestyle needs, and long-term goals. Rob recognizes the importance of capital preservation and down-side risk reduction for the effective stewardship and transfer of wealth. He is skilled in diverse markets across multiple asset classes, encompassing both domestic and international markets, as well as traditional and alternative instruments. Rob draws upon Merrill Lynch economic forecasts and market projections, as well as thought leadership from third-party sources, to inform his market outlook and stay abreast of evolving conditions. In addition to his investment responsibilities, Rob is the lead advisor for a select number of families.

Rob earned his bachelo r’s in Finance and a minor in Economics from Fordham University. He also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation sponsored by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) at the Wharton School. Rob Giannetti is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. Mark Brookfield is a managing partner of the Erdmann Group within the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch. Mark advises senior executives of Fortune 500 companies, business owners, entrepreneurs, and ultra-affluent families about multiple facets of their financial lives. He works to deploy wealth more effectively and thoughtfully to help clients advance their personal, professional, and philanthropic objectives.

Drawing on the resources of the Private Banking and Investment Group, Mark is adept at harnessing the Firm’s capabilities in a manner that is robust and holistic. He is skilled in a range of offerings, including estate planning services, inter-generational wealth transfer, concentrated stock strategies, and cash-flow modeling. Mark examines both sides of a client’s balance sheet to identify gaps and capitalize on opportunities for a more efficient deployment of capital. He is also responsible for overseeing the Erdmann Group’s fixed income portfolios. Mark recognizes the importance of capital preservation to ultra-affluent clients, sensitive to the sacrifices they have made in attaining their wealth. He looks to bring the expansive abilities of the Firm to clients in a warm and personalized manner. Mark values the client relationships that he has sustained over many years and is privileged to serve a very dynamic and accomplished client base.

Tony Carpentieri is a managing partner of the Erdmann Group within the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch. Tony works closely with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families to create customized wealth strategies that align with their priorities and goals. He has in-depth experience advising senior executives of public and private companies, entrepreneurs, and families at the crossroads of transitions or significant life events.

Tony takes a highly personalized approach to the clients he serves; he spends significant time discussing and delineating the varied aspects of a client’s financial life, from day-to-day concerns to long-term aspirations. Tony then channels the resources and capabilities of the Firm to craft detailed, integrated strategies across multiple disciplines: investment management, wealth transfer and philanthropy. Tony is particularly skilled in helping clients with concentrated wealth enact investment and transfer strategies to facilitate wealth preservation across multiple generations while enhancing diversification.

Before joining Merrill Lynch in 2015, Victoria began her career focusing on tax planning and preparation for high-net-worth individuals and family groups. She is skilled in a variety of offerings including tax-minimization strategies in conjunction with clients' personal tax professionals, and research, trust and estate planning services, generational wealth transfer, and financial statement review. She has experience advising senior executives, entrepreneurs, and families on an array of financial decisions that arise during significant life events. She works to position wealth more effectively and thoughtfully to help clients focus on their personal, professional, and philanthropic objectives.

Victoria holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation and previously was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) practicing in Washington DC and New York City. Carey Wunsch joined the Erdmann Group in 2000. She heads the group’s ten-person administrative team, drawing on her extensive experience in addressing the needs of high-net-worth families. Carey brings an astute understanding of family relationships; she is an integral member of our service team, helping families with day-to-day financial needs and long-term initiatives. Carey gracefully balances multiple aspects of wealth management for multiple generations, sensitive to the complexities and nuances of each family.

Carey earned her undergraduate degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and her M.B.A. from the Jack Welch School of Business. She serves as an Instructor at Sacred Heart.

Bill has been in the financial services industry for over 45 years and joined Merrill Lynch in 2000. He has a tremendous amount of experience that he draws on to assist high-net-worth families in all aspects of their financial lives.

Over the past four decades Bill has developed deep knowledge of proprietary trading in equities, fixed income and currencies, and he continues to help clients manage their investment portfolios to pursue their long-term goals.

Bill graduated from Spring Hill College in 1966. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife, Mary, and they are proud parents of their daughter, Lindsay.
