The Mullan Group

Founded in 2003, The Mullan Group is a wealth management team focused on providing private wealth strategy and financial management to ultra-high net worth clients including entrepreneurs, executives, and business owners as well as non-profits / endowments and private foundations. Based in New York City, we serve clients from a range of industries and backgrounds. Some clients are U.S.-focused in their business, family, and community priorities. Others are more global, with family members, business interests, or philanthropic concerns that are international. Regardless of their source of wealth or geographic framework, clients turn to us for guidance, strategy, and experience in navigating the complexities of wealth. We work closely with clients to determine and define their priorities so that together, we can pursue a deliberate and integrated wealth management strategy.

Our Perspective and Our Approach

Wealth management means different things to different people. At The Mullan Group, we address a full range of wealth management concerns. We look to help the whole person – family member, business leader, community contributor, or philanthropist. These different roles required tailored services and strategies. We recognize that financial stability and longevity are key priorities for affluent families and we address these priorities through institutional grade asset and liability management, tax minimization strategies*, complex wealth transfer strategies, philanthropic planning and other wealth services. The open architecture asset management approach that we utilize is a blend of traditional and complex strategies that focuses on objectively achieving the optimal risk and tax adjusted return. The team’s 3-member Investment Committee derives its strategies from both an academic and macroeconomic approach to investment management - blended together with extensive portfolio construction and risk management experience across markets cycles. Our deep investment knowledge enables us to offer tailored strategies, advice and guidance that is typically reserved for large institutions. We complement these offerings with financial education and family outreach events. By balancing the diverse facets of wealth, we look to serve the whole client today, tomorrow, and generationally for many years to come.
