Moeder Salvino & Associates

We provide individualized wealth management strategies for ultra-high-net-worth clients. We have a wide range of experience working with individuals and institutions, offering depth and breadth in wealth management advisory services. Clients value our personalized perspective, wide range of resources, strategic approach and have entrusted us with $5.7B in assets as of March 2016.

Client Focus

We provide financial advice and wealth management services for approximately 75 institutions and high-net-worth individuals located throughout the United States and abroad. Clients include affluent families, foundations, nonprofit organizations, successful business owners and their related companies, and corporate executives. Of all the clients we serve, eighteen have over $1B in assets, including eight of the Forbes 400 families.

Our Approach

We employ a fully holistic approach in order to help clients identify and pursue their individualized financial goals. We believe in educating clients and helping them make informed decisions about managing, conserving, and enhancing their wealth. The most important factors in our service model are our commitment to excellence in client service, and our ongoing efforts to enhance the financial lives of clients. We offer the personalized service of a boutique firm combined with the global resources of Merrill Lynch and Bank of America.

Our Investment Philosophy

In applying our investment philosophy, we seek the following objectives:

  • Design efficient portfolios that maximize return for a given level of risk.
  • Monitor risk through a range of measures including volatility, downside volatility, value-at-risk, peak-to-trough drawdown, downside market capture, and scenario analysis.
  • Maximize after-tax returns through strategic asset allocation, tactical overlay, and manager selection
  • Promote diversification across size, style, geography, manager, and asset class.
  • Examine upcoming economic themes, macro market movements, and correlation statistics to enhance portfolio performance.
  • Consider hedge funds and private equity as potential portfolio components.*
  • Re-evaluate the portfolio regularly in order to identify gaps and rebalance allocations.
