Jacobs Papa and Associates

Headquartered in Midtown, Manhattan, and Washington, D.C., we are a private wealth management team that works with a select group of individuals, families, and institutions. We offer robust and integrated strategies girded by precise implementation. Throughout our engagements, we look to drive client value by simplifying complexity, anticipating opportunity, and navigating the issues that are unique to each client. Our work is tailored, purposeful, and discreet. We recognize that ultra-affluent clients not only expect—but deserve—exceptional service. We have built our team from the ground up to cater to client needs, offering a holistic approach that pursues multiple financial objectives. Client goals are the central focus of our work; we look to harness the capabilities of the Firm to offer integrated, sophisticated, and elegant responses to the challenges of sophisticated wealth.

Focused on the Needs of Accomplished Clients

We exclusively work with high net worth clients, enabling us to provide an intensity of outreach and service that is the hallmark of our team. We advise approximately 50 families who have entrusted us with over $500 million, as of October 1, 2016. Clients include research analysts, hedge fund managers, CEOs and CFOs of publicly traded companies, entrepreneurs and endowments. Our work with high net worth individuals and families aligns well with our institutional engagements. We find that high net worth clients encounter many of the same investment challenges as institutional clients: long-term cash flow preservation, asset diversification, and the integration of investment policy within a client’s overall financial framework. In turn, our individual and family clients are often keenly interested in philanthropy, providing us with an opportunity to share best practices for sustained and impactful charitable involvement. We are privileged to enjoy multi-generational relationships, complemented by careful growth of our group through client referrals.

We believe that wealth management has connotations and implications that are unique for each client. We spend significant time getting to know clients well: their aspirations, concerns, short-term needs, and long-term outlooks. We weave these components together to craft customized financial frameworks that are as varied as the clients we serve. As Private Wealth Advisors, we look to channel the resources throughout Merrill Lynch and Bank of America that can help advance client objectives, leveraging our experience, discernment and network of contacts. Our ethos as a team is straightforward: Through hard work, diligent service, and a sincere interest in client wellbeing, we look to help clients streamline their financial lives so that they can focus on the people and pursuits that are most meaningful to them.

The clients we serve have attained significant wealth. They look for prudent growth, preservation, and effective transfer of that wealth. We marshal the resources of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch to devise multi-faceted strategies that reflect concurrent client priorities. We believe that the impact of strategy is amplified through thoughtful deliberation and coordinated action.
