About us

The Arbogast Group

The Arbogast Group is a leading wealth management team that caters to the needs of affluent clients.1 As members of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch, we are privileged to work with extremely successful and accomplished clients. Entrepreneurs, wealth creators, and senior executives of public and private companies look to us for help in navigating the challenges and opportunities of significant wealth. Pete Arbogast, the leader of our team, has spent his career working closely with high-net-worth clients. He has built our team to respond to the demands of significant wealth, synthesizing the knowledge and strategies that are at the foundation of well-researched wealth management. We take an engaged and individualized approach to the clients we serve, developing long-term relationships that attest to our caring and commitment.

Our team has enjoyed national recognition: Barron’s Magazine named Pete Arbogast one of the Top 1000 Financial Advisors in America, from the inception of the accolade in 2009 successively through 2012. 2

We invite you to learn more about the ways in which our team can enhance your wealth management strategy, restore free time to your schedule, and foster a collaborative mindset that is focused on you and your financial goals.

Focused on Client Priorities

Our work perpetually centers on the client: his or her needs, aspirations, timelines, and concerns. We develop an in-depth understanding of who the client is as a person, business leader, investor, parent, family member, and community member. We speak in depth about what he or she wants to accomplish, and the role of money in furthering that vision. By developing a rounded understanding of the client, we are better able to customize our offerings to his or her needs. We do not simply pay lip-service to customization. We are dedicated to serving a small group of clients exceptionally well, creating tailored offerings that reflect both their deeply held beliefs and their evolving needs.

Grounded in Rigorous Analytics

We recognize that wealth preservation is a chief priority of wealth management. We ground our investment approach in rigorous financial analysis. Drawing on the renowned research of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, we apply our quantitative skill and wealth management experience to advance client aims.

We look to help clients grow their wealth prudently and opportunistically, assessing trends in the capital markets. We emphasize the importance of diversification, modeling the best practices of endowments, while adjusting this approach to reflect individual timelines and risk thresholds. We respond to individual client attitudes toward investment portfolios, customizing our offerings to a spectrum of investors: conservative, moderate, or opportunistic. We recognize that circumstances and attitudes change. A conservative investor today may become more opportunistic, while an opportunistic investor may become more risk averse. Through regular meetings and frequent client contact, both formal and informal, we revisit our wealth management efforts to align our initiatives with changing client circumstances.

Committed to Service

We believe in the honor and value of service. Clients come to our team and stay with our team because we are who we say we are. Quite simply, we deliver on expectations. We differentiate ourselves by our responsiveness and our approachability. If a client has a need, we want to hear about it. If we don’t have an immediate answer, we will track one down. Our service ethic is a deeply ingrained part of who we are and what we do. Client referrals are our most potent voice in defining our competitive edge.

Our team offers affluent clients a single a source of contact for a range of wealth management needs:

  • Investment management
  • Concentrated stock management
  • Pre and post-IPO strategy
